Tournament of Fools

May 29-30, 2004
Location: Dyke Fields, Acadia University, Wolfville, NS
Sat is Mixed tourney, casual format, 4 games each, upwards of 15 teams (unless they can get more fields). Teams get to choose their own opponents (no playoffs, finals, etc). All levels welcome. Perfect opportunity to slide into the summer league season as well. Teams from all over Maritimes.
Sun is both Open and Womens tourneys. Players can play both days if they want. In fact, it is encouraged. If your Mixed team doesn't have enough players to field both Open and Womens team for Sun, then feel free to join with another one or whatever. The point is WHATEVER.
Costs: Not known yet exactly, but $60-$100 per team for Sat, $50-$80 for Sun. Field food like fruit, bagels, gatorade will be there, otherwise it will be quintessentially low-frills.

Ratio: 4 men and 3 women at all time on the line
Welcome party on Friday and huge Saturday night party with lots of surprises

Tournament fees are $200 per team plus $10 per player (example a team with 10 players pays $300). The $200 team fee is due May 24. Teams traveling from a far (greater than 7 hours) are eligible for sponsorship program (ask for further information)
Camping arrangements are being made, dinner and social included
Overage will be donated to the Oromocto Hospital Foundation

7-on-7 mixed tournament. 8-12 teams. Gender ratio of 4/3 male/female or female/male
Cost: $350 CND or $260 US
Goods: 6 or more games; fieldside food and water; Saturday night dinner, free camping on Saturday and possibly Friday night.
Bids: Invitations granted on a rolling basis but absolute deadline is June 1st, 2004.
