NOTICE OF HALIFAX ULTIMATE RECREATIONAL LEAGUE SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Pursuant to the Halifax Ultimate Recreational League Society (HURL) by-laws, this is a notice to the members of HURL of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the HURL membership:
- DATE: Monday, July 5th 2010
- LOCATION: Michael's Bar And Grill, 6100 Young St, Maple Room.
- TIME: 7:00 pm.
- Minutes of preceding Annual General Meeting July 15, 2009
- Consideration of the 2009-2010 annual report of the Directors
- Report of Committees
- Consideration of the financial statements (2009-2010), including balance sheet, perating statement and the report of the auditors thereon
- Business Plan 2010-2011
- Presentation of Draft Budget 2010-2011
- Call for Nominations
- Election of Directors for the ensuing year
- General Discussion

All who would like to be involved in the management and development of HURL
should consider running for a position on the 2010-11 board of directors.
HURL is now accepting nominations. Remember, HURL is only as good as the
volunteers who make it work!
Voting and REMINDER OF PROXY RIGHTS
During the AGM, there will be voting for Directors and possibly for other matters. Pursuant to the by-laws, each Member shall have one vote and any Member may, by means of written proxy, appoint a proxy holder to act in their place at any meeting of the Members of the Society. So, if you want to have your say at the AGM, but can't make it to the AGM, be sure to give your proxy, IN WRITING, to another Member so he or she can act on your behalf. The written proxy should contain: your name, a statement of who the Member is that you are giving your proxy rights to, a statement that the proxy is for the AGM on July 5th 2010, and your signature.
