Notice of Halifax Ultimate Recreational League Society Financial Meeting #2
This is a notice to all HURL members that the HURL Board of Directors will hold a financial meeting:
DATE: Wednesday, October 29, 2008
LOCATION: Dartmouth All Weather Field, Field #3 (Rain or shine people)
TIME: 9:30pm to 9:45pm
The meeting agenda is as follows:
- Consideration of the financial statements (2007-2008), including balance sheet, Operating statement and the report of the auditors thereon.
- General Discussion.
Voting and Reminder of Proxy Rights
During the meeting there will be voting for HURL related matters. Pursuant to the by-laws, each Member shall have one vote and any Member may, by means of written proxy, appoint a proxy holder to act in their place at any meeting of the Members of the Society. So, if you want to have your say at the meeting, but can't make it , be sure to give your proxy, in writing, to another Member so he or she can act on your behalf. The written proxy should contain: your name, a statement of who the Member is that you are giving your proxy rights to, a statement that the proxy is for the Financial Meeting on Wednesday, October 29th 2008, and your signature.
The financial statements are available to the membership before the meeting. Please check http://www.halifaxultimate.ca/official/ for the revised documents.

PS If you don't come, by special resolution, all of HURL's money will belong to myself (Joe Williams). So come and vote it down. Otherwise myself and my 35 proxies will get the money.
PPS I'm joking about that but, seriously, come. We need quorum to get this stuff approved/finalized and this is the second attempt at this point.
