NOTICE OF HALIFAX ULTIMATE RECREATIONAL LEAGUE SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Pursuant to the Halifax Ultimate Recreational League Society (HURL) by-laws, this is a notice to the members of HURL of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the HURL membership:
- DATE: Monday, July 21, 2008 Note: Previously Wednesday July 16
- LOCATION: Room 1009 of the Kenneth C. Rowe Management building, Dalhousie University. (Corner of University Avenue and Seymour Street)
- TIME: 7:00 pm.
The meeting agenda is as follows:
- Minutes of preceding Annual General Meeting July 9, 2007
- Consideration of the 2007–2008 annual report of the Directors
- Report of Committees
- Juniors
- NSDSS
- Web
- League Committee
- Consideration of the financial statements (2007–2008), including
balance sheet,
- Operating statement and the report of the auditors thereon
- Business Plan 2008–2009
- Consideration of new changes to HURL Touring Team Policy
- Presentation of Draft Budget 2008 - 2009
- Election of Directors for the ensuing year
- General Discussion

GET INVOLVED! — HURL NEEDS YOU!
All who would like to be involved in the management and development of HURL should consider running for a position on the 2008-09 board of directors. HURL is now accepting nominations. Remember, HURL is only as good as the volunteers who make it work!
Voting and REMINDER OF PROXY RIGHTS
During the AGM, there will be voting for Directors and possibly for other matters. Pursuant to the by-laws, each Member shall have one vote and any Member may, by means of written proxy, appoint a proxy holder to act in their place at any meeting of the Members of the Society. So, if you want to have your say at the AGM, but can't make it to the AGM, be sure to give your proxy, IN WRITING, to another Member so he or she can act on your behalf. The written proxy should contain: your name, a statement of who the Member is that you are giving your proxy rights to, a statement that the proxy is for the AGM on July 21, 2008, and your signature.
