NOTICE OF HALIFAX ULTIMATE RECREATIONAL LEAGUE SOCIETY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Pursuant to the Halifax Ultimate Recreational League Society (HURL) by-laws, this is a notice to the members of HURL of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the HURL membership:

The meeting agenda is as follows:

  1. Minutes of preceding Annual General Meeting July 24, 2006
  2. Consideration of the 2006–2007 annual report of the Directors
  3. Report of Committees
    • CUC
    • Juniors
    • NSDSS
    • Web
    • Field Acquisition
  4. Consideration of the financial statements (2006–2007), including balance sheet,
    • Operating statement and the report of the auditors thereon
    • Field Fund Investment Report
  5. Business Plan 2007–2008
  6. Consideration of new HURL Policies
  7. Presentation of Draft Budget 2007 - 2008
  8. Election of Directors for the ensuing year
  9. General Discussion

GET INVOLVED! — HURL NEEDS YOU!

All who would like to be involved in the management and development of HURL should consider running for a position on the 2007-08 board of directors. HURL is now accepting nominations. Remember, HURL is only as good as the volunteers who make it work!

Voting and REMINDER OF PROXY RIGHTS

During the AGM, there will be voting for Directors and possibly for other matters. Pursuant to the by-laws, each Member shall have one vote and any Member may, by means of written proxy, appoint a proxy holder to act in their place at any meeting of the Members of the Society. So, if you want to have your say at the AGM, but can't make it to the AGM, be sure to give your proxy, IN WRITING, to another Member so he or she can act on your behalf. The written proxy should contain: your name, a statement of who the Member is that you are giving your proxy rights to, a statement that the proxy is for the AGM on July 9, 2007, and your signature.
